The harvest appreciation ceremony and Open Door Days in Popudinské Močidľany took place on 10 August 2024. The festivities traditionally commenced with a mass in the St. Simon and Jude’s Church, where the pastor blessed the harvest with the harvest wreath. Girls in folk costumes then handed it to the farmer – the president of the cooperative.

In the afternoon, the festivities continued in the premises of the cooperative and the adjacent sports complex. After the tour of the cooperative, where multiple construction works had been carried out and works on the post-harvest line had been finished, the visitors took a tour of the machinery and saw animals in the stables. Then they made for the pitch, where refreshments and entertainment awaited. Except for roasted bull, the local huntsmen prepared venison goulash and the local retirement club baked cakes. Local gardeners organised a wine tasting.

Kids could take part in various competitions and win small prizes, see a demonstration of firefighting equipment, including a foam gun, take a ride on a horse-drawn carriage and finally hop on a pink train with a lawnmower and barrels in place of the locomotive and wagons.

Lively tunes of the Záhorácki heligonkári band accompanied the visitors throughout the event.
